Russell is a director and photographer focusing on documentary and branded content.

He grew up rurally on the coast of California, where his family has been for four generations. One side were dairy farmers, and the other side were architects. There was a clash of worldviews, values, and lifestyles; a duality that taught him two completely different worlds. Because of the conflicts and harmonies within his upbringing, he continues to explore the complexities of identity and the belonging of traditions within a modern world.

Russell has spent the last 10 years shooting commissioned work. His work aims to be an unexpected view into the often overlooked.
